So...the dresser is actually turquoise- but it definitely looks green in the photo because of the lighting. I will have to post some pics of the nursery when the lighting is different- hopefully you guys think it still looks as cute! lol. And yes, we did it ourselves. It was an old white dresser with terrible hardware and the drawers were creaky and would get stuck. A little bees wax, new hardware, sanding and paint, and wa-la, a free dresser! yay!
Annie, I am so excited to have found your blog! My daughter Elaina has ToF w/Pulmonary Atresia, VSD, coronary fistulas and DiGeorge. Because of her challenging anatomy, she didn't have a traditional Tet repair, she had a BT shunt and Bi-directional Glenn, and they've removed her ventricular septum. She is almost 2 1/2 years old and is a super amazing little girl. Having a heart baby is full of challenges, but having a heart baby with DiGeorge makes it even more so. With that said, I wouldn't change anything! Conner is absolutely adorable, and I am so glad that you have him home. I will keep him my thoughts and prayers as surgery approaches. Elaina has a cardiology appointment at PCMC on June 2nd, so if you're up to visitors you'll have to let me know, and I'll come and introduce myself in person. I look forward to following your blog and watching Conner grow!

Paul and I met at LDS Business College in 2003 and got married in September 2005 in the Salt Lake Temple. Marriage is the BEST! We love to have tons of fun! Whether it's playing games with friends, going on a cruise, having pillow fights, or just hanging out, you will always find us laughing! In February 2010 we welcomed with much excitement, our greatest joy, baby boy Conner. He was born with a heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot and spent 72 days in the NICU. He had open heart surgery when he was 4/12 months old to repair his sweet, broken heart. He is now fed via a gtube in his tummy, and is on the long road of learning how to eat with his mouth. He is our greatest accomplishment and teaches us everyday about love and patience. I am blessed to be a SAHM to Conner, and we just love our little family!
